Casa Dee is five minutes from the fishing village of Playa Blanca which is plentifully supplied with shops and restaurants.  There is a pleasant harbour where the ferry leaves for Fuerteventura and a new marina surrounded by excellent restaurants.  The beautiful white beaches of Papagayo are a twenty minute drive away where swimming, snorkelling, and sunbathing are a must.

We consider a car to be essential although local taxi rides are very reasonable.  We are able to help with flights and we have an excellent working relationship with a car hire firm which supplies cars in excellent condition for around £110 per week.

Timanfaya National Park
 Timanfaya National park is a must-see for any visitor to Lanzarote. 50 km² of Volcanic Landscape and Craters, as well as the 'El Diablo' Restaurant where traditional Canarian food is cooked in a natural volcanic oven.
La Cueva de los Verdes forms part of a spectacular and complex system of caves formed by underground Lava flows. Cave of Los Verdes
Jameos del Agua. Jameos del Agua is a cave complex that includes a natural Concert Hall with wonderful acoustics, subterranean lagoon, a restaurant and a museum.
El Golfo is a volcanic crater filled by sea water.

The Cactus Garden The Cactus Garden was created by local artist, the late Cesar Manrique, and features an impressive collection of Cacti and sculptures and a restored Windmill
